When we get started on our aging journey happiness and positivity are often hard to find. It’s easy to blame other people for all our problems; be it financial, accommodation, bad health, divorce or other challenging situations.

It is natural to blame others or the government as the source of our problems but if we will be honest with ourselves, our challenges seldom come completely from outside.

Even if we are victims of any situation, the only thing we can do is to change ourselves. We must completely abandon the concept of blaming others and focus on how to make our lives better.

Stop playing the blame game. Redirect that energy into thinking up practical ways to make your life better Click To Tweet

Sometimes you need to take a few minutes to sit down and brainstorm on some practical things you can do to improve your life. You don’t have to start with taking a big step. For instance, if you want to lose a bit of your weight, start by taking a fifteen minutes’ walk every day and change your eating habit a day at a time.

Life happens to all of us, but it is not what happens to us but how we deal with it that defines the quality of life we live. We must accept the reality of the situation we find ourselves today and let go those things that didn’t work the way we wanted.

No matter what you are going through in life, you will be a better person and accomplish more by helping yourself than blaming others.
