Acid reflux happens when there is acid backflow from the stomach into the esophagus causing irritation and pain. This condition cannot be cured but it can be managed by changing your diet to include some specific food such as fruits and vegetables which can help to smoothen the stomach by reducing the acid.
However, not all fruits serve this purpose. Avoid eating fruits such as:
• Pineapple
• Grapefruits
• Lemon
• Oranges
• Tomatoes
All these fruits are very acidic, they can cause or worsen the symptoms. The yoke of the egg can also trigger the reflux symptoms. The white part of the egg is a very good option.
Ginger has natural anti-inflammatory properties, so it is a natural treatment for heartburn. Healthy unsaturated fats such as flaxseed, avocado and walnuts are good for managing the symptoms of acid reflux.
The above-mentioned kinds of food are just my suggestions because no particular diet can prevent the symptoms of acid reflux and food triggers are not the same for everyone. To be able to identify your food triggers, you can start tracking what you eat by keeping a journal of the food you eat, the time you ate the food, and how you felt after eating the food.
